About Daniel Lynn

 

Daniel P. Lynn was born and raised in Berwick, Columbia County, Pennsylvania and is a 1985 graduate of Berwick High School. His father was a foreman at Consolidated Cigar and his mother was a nurse at the Berwick Hospital. Daniel served six years on active duty as a United States Marine Corps infantry machine gunner and is a Gulf War veteran. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Anthropology and English Literature and earned a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He has been a practicing attorney in Columbia County since 2000.


Since 2011 he has served as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for Columbia County. In 2017 he became Columbia County's first and only full-time ADA. He has prosecuted thousands of criminal cases ranging from traffic violations to murder.


Daniel Lynn is a member of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association and the National District Attorneys Association. He is a member and past president of the Columbia/Montour Bar Association and serves as a representative to the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Attorney Lynn is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts in Pennsylvania.


He is a member and past president of the Bloomsburg Kiwanis Club and serves as vice president on the board of the Bloomsburg Public Library. He and his wife Valerie live in Mifflinville.
